In 2024, Hartley and Co. Heating and Air Conditioning acquired Tri-Rom Industries Ltd. Tri-Rom had served Kamloops for years from 12th Street, built on straight answers and a customer base who kept coming back.

A handover, not a takeover

Dennis Rombough, Tri-Rom’s owner, was planning his retirement and wanted the business to carry on rather than close. Luke Hartley took it over on the understanding the goodwill Dennis had built would be looked after, not spent. Dennis stayed on through the transition so customers were handed over in person rather than by letter.

What it means for Tri-Rom customers

Tri-Rom now operates as part of Hartley and Co. If we installed or serviced your equipment under the Tri-Rom name, we still hold the history on it and we still service it. Nothing about the equipment in your building changed when the sign did.

What did change is the range of work under one roof. Alongside the heating and cooling Tri-Rom was known for, we cover gas fitting, commercial refrigeration, hot water and indoor air quality, with Red Seal certified technicians and Class B gas fitters certified by Technical Safety BC.

Reaching us

Longtime Tri-Rom customers are welcome to call the number they have always used. Everything now runs through the Hartley and Co. shop at Unit J – 971 Laval Crescent, Kamloops, and the fastest way to reach us is 778-220-2142 or the contact page.
